Ancient wisdom for modern health care
Chinese Medicine is a health care system.
It includes acupuncture, cupping and moxibustion, manual therapies and bodywork techniques, herbal remedies and dietetics, as well as health-preserving and introspective techniques.
Originated in ancient China, it has been continuously practiced and has never ceased to develop itself, forever cultivating a deeper understanding of the dynamics that restore and maintain health.
Today, Chinese Medicine is still fully considered as a health care system in its country of origin.
It is taught at university and it is practiced hand in hand with modern biomedicine in state hospitals dedicated to what the Chinese authorities have now officially designated as “Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine”.
Every day in China, thousands of people seek medical care in such hospitals.
With all the conventional departments available in a modern hospital, the treatments these patients receive are complemented or exclusively given with the tools of Chinese Medicine, including acupuncture and herbs.
The integration of Chinese Medicine in our modern health care system is also a public and political desire shared and actively supported world-wide. Developing higher education programs and clinical internships, increasingly more countries support the practice of Integrative Chinese Medicine within their health care systems.
In June 2018, the World Health Organization (WHO) officially recognised the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) terminology for diseases and health conditions as an international standard.
Chinese Medicine brings ancient wisdom into modern health care,
and we aim to bring it to you.
